This piece began as a plein air painting and was finished in the studio. Peter Hyde skillfully portrays a cranberry bog bathed in the interplay of sunlight and shadows. The scene unfolds with the sun's rays filtering through the surrounding trees, casting deep shadows that weave through the bog's expanse. The play of light and darkness adds a dramatic depth to the composition, accentuating the vibrant hues of the cranberry vines. Hyde's keen observation captures the elusive beauty of the moment, where the dynamic dance of shadows amplifies the enchanting landscape of the cranberry bog.
